Artist's Description
The idea for this piece came when I heard a snippet of a podcast featuring Steven Pressfield talking about battling resistance: that "self-sabotaging force that lives between you and your biggest goals". I call that nasty little voice in my ear the adversary and recognize that he tries hard to get me to give up on any dream that will help me to be my best self. The bigger the dream, the bigger the resistance, they're always proportional to each other. Don't give up on your dreams, even if they seem unreachable at times, that's just the resistance. Listen to your true self. She/He's in there!
